Oil Pan Removal
Removal1. Drain the engine oil.
2. If the engine is still in the vehicle, remove the subframe.
-1 Attach the chain hoist to the engine.
-2 Remove the under cover, then remove the splash shield.
-3 Disconnect the third heated oxygen sensor (third H02S) connector, then remove the NOx adsorptive three way catalytic converter (NOx adsorptive TWC).
-4 Disconnect the suspension lower arm ball joints.
-5 Remove the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) cooler hoses, then plug the hoses and the lines (CVT).
-6 Remove the front mount mounting bolt.
-7 Remove the rear mount mounting bolts.
-8 Use a marker to make alignment marks on the reference lines that align with the centers of the rear subframe mounting bolts. Remove the front subframe.
3. If the engine is still in the vehicle, remove the A/C compressor without disconnecting the A/C hoses.
4. If the engine is still in the vehicle, remove the lower radiator hose joint pipe from the oil pan.
5. Remove the intermediate shaft bracket.
6. Remove the dipstick tube.
7. Remove the two bolts securing the transmission.
8. Remove the bolts/nuts securing the oil pan.
9. Insert a flat blade screwdriver where shown, and separate the oil pan from the block.
10. Remove the oil pan.
