DTC P1435 (58): Charge/Discharge Balance Problem

NOTE: If any other DTCs are stored the same time as DTC P1435, troubleshoot those DTCs first, then recheck for DTC P1435.

1. Check the 12 V battery.
Is the 12 V battery OK?
YES-Go to step 3.
NO-Go to step 2.
2. Charge or replace the 12 V battery.
3. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), start the engine, and watch the charging system indicator.
Does the charging system indicator come on and then go off after the engine starts?
YES-System is OK at this time.
NO-Go to step 4.
4. Check the idle speed.
Is it within the specification?
YES-Temporary lack of charging, system is OK at this time.
NO-Adjust or repair as necessary.
