DTC P1025: Valve Pause System Sticking Off1. Reset the ECM with the HDS.
2. Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 3,000 rpm without load (in Park or neutral) until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle.
3. Check whether the IMA battery charge indicator shows between 4 and 19 segments.
4. Test-drive under these conditions:
- CVT in D position (M/T in 4th gear)
- Vehicle speed at 50 mph (80 km/h)
- Drive about 5 seconds, then slow down with the throttle fully closed.
5. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS.
Is Temporary DTC P1025 indicated?
YES - Go to step 8.
NO - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time.
6. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
7. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
8. Check the MAP SENSOR in the DATA LIST with the HDS.
Is about 101 kPa (30 in.Hg, 760 mmHg) indicated?
YES - Go to step 9.
NO - Replace the MAP sensor.
9. Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 3,000 rpm without load (in Park or neutral) until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle.
10. Check the MAP SENSOR in the DATA LIST with the HDS.
Is about 20 - 35 kPa (6 - 10 in.Hg, 150 - 260 mmHg) indicated?
YES - Go to step 11.
NO - Replace the MAP sensor.
11. Remove the cylinder head cover.
12. Check the rocker arm operation.
Is it OK?
YES - Go to step 13.
NO - Repair the rocker arm.
13. Check the rocker arm assembly.
Is it OK?
YES - Check the rocker arm operation again.
NO - Replace the rocker arm assembly.
