DTC P0562 (15): MCM Power Source Circuit Unexpected Voltage
1. Reset the MCM.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
Is DTC P0562 indicated?
YES-Go to step 3.
NO-Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the No. 9 BACK UP (10 A) fuse and et the MCM.
3. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
4. Inspect the No. 9 BACK UP (10 A) fuse in the underhood fuse/relay box.
Is the fuse OK?
YES-Go to step 5.
NO-Repair short in the wire between the No. 9 BACK UP (10 A) fuse and the MCM(A8).
5. Turn the battery module switch OFF.
6. Remove the IPU lid.
7. Disconnect MCM connector A (31P).





8. Measure voltage between body ground and MCM connector terminal A8.
Is there battery voltage?
YES-Update the MCM if it-does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good MCM, then recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away with a known-good MCM, replace the original MCM.
NO-Repair open in the wire between the No. 9 BACK UP (10 A) fuse and MCM (A8).
