Trunk / Liftgate Switch: Service and Repair

1. Remove the steering column upper and lower cover.





2. Disconnect the dashboard wire harness B 4P connector (A) from the cable reel (B).
3 Check for continuity between the cable reel No.2 terminal and body ground in each switch position according to the table.

- If there is continuity, the horn switch is OK.
- If there is no continuity, go to step 4.

4. Remove the driver's airbag.
5. Check for continuity between the cable reel No.2 terminal (A) and the horn switch positive terminal (B).

- If there is no continuity, check the cruise control Set/Resume switch. If the switch is OK, replace the cable reel and check for the proper operation.
- If there is continuity, replace the horn switch.
