SYMPTOM
The power door locks intermittently lock themselves.
PROBABLE CAUSE
Moisture gets onto the microprocessor in the power door lock control unit.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Remove the driver's door panel. Refer to section 20 of the 1996-98 Civic Service Manual.
2. Disconnect the 12P connector from the power door lock control unit.
3. Remove the control unit.
4. Install a new control unit, and reinstall the 12P connector.
5. Test the power door locks to make sure they operate normally.
6. Reinstall the driver's door panel in the reverse order of removal.
