A/C Signal: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
This signal is sent to the Programmed Fuel Injection Engine Control Module when there is a demand for cooling from the air conditioning circuits.

OPERATION
The Engine Control Module then raises the idle speed to compensate for the increased engine load.
