Circuit Operation

The vehicle speed sensor (VSS) generates a signal indicating the speed of the car, and applies it to the gauge assembly, cruise control unit. transmission control module, and engine control module (ECM). These components then use the signal as a reference in controlling certain functions of their circuits.
