System Operation (Road Test)


1. While driving faster than 25 mph, turn the cruise switch ON and press the set switch: the car should maintain set speed.

2. Hold the set switch in and take your foot off the accelerator: the car should coast to a slower speed.

3. Release the set switch: the cruise control should engage and hold a slower speed, if the new speed is above 25 mph.

4. Hold the resume switch: the car should accelerate.

5. Release the resume switch: the car should hold the new, faster speed.

6. Tap the brake pedal: the car should coast (cruise disengages).

7. Tap the resume switch: if traveling faster than 25 mph, the car should accelerate to its set speed.

8. For M/T depress and release the clutch pedal; for A/T, shift the gear selector to NEUTRAL and then back to Drive: the car should coast (cruise disengages).

9. Tap the resume switch: if traveling faster than 25 mph, the car should accelerate to its set speed.

10. While cruising, accelerate, then release the accelerator: the car should coast back to set speed.

11. While cruising, tap the resume switch several times: speed should increase 1 mph for each tap.

12. While cruising, tap the set switch several times: speed should decrease 1 mph for each tap, until you reach 25 mph (when cruise disengages).

13. Press Cruise "OFF" switch: the cruise control should turn off.
