Mainshaft/Countershaft/Shift Fork

REMOVAL




1. Remove the reverse shift fork from the clutch housing.

NOTE: Take care not to drop the steel ball.




2. Remove the reverse idler shaft and reverse idler gear from the clutch housing.

NOTE: Tape the mainshaft spline to protect it, before removing the mainshaft and countershaft assemblies.




3. Remove the mainshaft assembly and countershaft assembly with the shift forks from the clutch housing.




4. Remove the shift fork shaft by removing the spring pin from the 5th/Reverse shift piece.
