'88-89 Prelude Security System Troubleshooting


1. Scan the different troubleshooting tree sections, and locate the appropriate system problem. Then perform each step as specified.

Note: 1. Before troubleshooting, check that grounds at the Fuse Box and in the trunk are clean and tight.
2. Before troubleshooting, turn the ignition switch to START and then to the OFF position.
3. Before troubleshooting, read the owner's manual thoroughly.
4. If the Security Control Box is replaced, then the remote control unit MUST be replaced with one that has a matching serial number.
