Cold Engine Test





NOTE: The engine coolant temperature must be below the 55°C (131°F) switching point of thermovalve A.
1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the EGR valve, and connect a vacuum gauge to the hose, Fig. 61.
2. Start the engine and raise the speed to 3000 rpm. Vacuum should not be available.
a. If no vacuum is available, perform "HOT ENGINE TEST."
b. If vacuum is available, inspect the EGR system vacuum hose routing. If the vacuum hose routing is correct, replace thermovalve A.
