Oil Pump: Service and Repair

1. Drain engine oil into suitable container.
2. Remove timing belt. Refer to CAM DRIVE SPROCKET, TIMING & BALANCER SHAFT BELT.
3. Remove oil pump drive pulley attaching nut, then the drive pulley. The oil pump drive pulley nut has lefthand threads.

4. Remove oil pump attaching nut and bolts, then the oil pump, Fig. 46.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten pump attaching bolts, nut and pulley attaching nut to specification.
