1. Check third/fourth shift shaft-to-shift guide clearance as shown.

SHAFT-TO-GUIDE CLEARANCE
Standard (New): 0.2-0.5 mm (0.008-0.02 in.)
Service Limit: 0.8 mm (0.03 in.)

2. If clearance is too great, measure width of shift guide tab.
