Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Description and Operation

The TA sensor is located in the intake manifold. This sensor functions much like the water temperature sensor with a reduced thermal capacity for quicker response. Basic discharge duration read out from the memory is compensated for different operating conditions by the signals sent from this sensor to the ECU.
