The IMA sensor, used on some models, is located in the control box. This sensor maintains the correct air/fuel ratio at idling when an injector is replaced, Fig. 15. On Accord and Prelude, turning the adjuster changes voltage sent to the ECU which in turn alters fuel discharge duration. On Civic and CRX, no adjustment of the IMA sensor is necessary as the feedback control is performed by the oxygen sensor even during idling.
