Installation
1. Ensure new shaft seal is thoroughly clean, then apply a suitable lubricant to seal and place on shaft seal remover tool.

2. Apply a suitable lubricant to compressor shaft, then install shaft seal onto compressor shaft, aligning seal case flats with shaft flats, Fig. 6.
3. Press remover tool inward until it bottoms, then rotate tool counterclockwise to stop. Rotate tool clockwise to stop, then remove tool.

4. Ensure seal case metal pawl is .020 inch below compressor shoulder as shown, Fig. 7, then inspect I.D. of compressor for damage or foreign material.
5. Clean shaft seal with a suitable solvent, then apply a suitable lubricant.

6. Manually install seal seat, then press seat into place with grip side of remover, Fig. 8.
7. Install 32 mm snap ring, chamfered side down, then press snap ring into place.
8. Install shims and woodruff key, then install pressure plate.
