Outside Air Recirculation Solenoid

NOTE: Prelude models incorporate an inline fuse in the solenoid wiring harness.

1. Using a suitable ohmmeter, check for continuity between terminals A and B, Fig. 5. If no continuity, replace solenoid.

2. Connect a suitable vacuum pump to solenoid, Fig. 6, then draw vacuum. Solenoid should retain vacuum. If not, replace solenoid.
3. Connect solenoid operating vacuum motor to solenoid as shown in Fig. 6.
4. Connect a lead from the battery positive terminal to the A terminal of solenoid and a lead from the negative terminal to B terminal of solenoid.
5. Draw vacuum. The solenoid vacuum motor arm should retract. If not, replace solenoid.
