'84 -'85 Prelude Wind Noise


PROBLEM

Wind noise from around the right or left A-pillar while driving at highway speeds.

DIAGNOSIS

Follow the procedure in Service Bulletin 84-069: Make sure the noise is coming from the A-pillar. If it is, make sure the door fits tightly against the A-pillar weatherstrip. If it does, the noise is probably being caused by air rushing past the edge of the weatherstrip that sticks up above the A-pillar.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Replace the A-pillar/roof weatherstrip on both sides with the '83 type listed under PARTS INFORMATION. (Make sure the new weatherstrip fits tightly as described in Bulletin 84-069.)
