Labels on Prelude Heater Control Panel

PROBLEM Labels on the heater control panel lift up or fall off.

Labels on Prelude Heater Control Panel:

CORRECTIVE ACTION

1. If the label is still partially stuck to the panel, carefully peel it all the way off.

2. With alcohol and a shop towel, clean the surface of the heater control panel where the label attaches. Also clean the back of the original label if you're going to re-use it.

3. Apply the label.

New Label:

^ Peel the tape off the back of the label.
^ Firmly press the label into position.
^ Peel the clear protective film off the label.

Original Label:

^ Apply two or three very small drops of cyanoacrylate adhesive (Super Glue [TM] or Crazy Glue [TM]) to the back of the label, but only in the areas you can't see through (hold the label up to the light).

CAUTION: If any adhesive spreads to the areas you can see through, it will affect the illumination of the label when the dash lights are on.

^ Press the label into position and hold it there firmly until the adhesive sets (time listed on the container).
