VACUUM CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE:

1. Disconnect the two connectors from the side of emissions control box #l (the box on the right side of the firewall).

2. Disconnect the #4 hose from the "T" fitting near the air intake duct (so it won't interfere with removing the control box).

3. Loosen the two bolts that hold the control box to the body, then lift the box up and forward. Remove the rubber insulator from the end of the lower bracket and set it aside (so you won't lose it if it falls off later.)

4. Remove the four screws from the back of the box, and the one screw from the front, then remove the cover.

5. Detach the vacuum control solenoid valve from its mount (remove the screw), then install the new hose (from the kit) in the control box as shown.

CAUTION: Make sure you don't kink the new hose or any other hoses in the control box.
6. Re-attach the solenoid valve to its mount, then reinstall the cover and the five screws. Put the rubber insulator back on the end of the lower bracket, then reinstall the control box and tighten its two mount bolts. Reconnect the #4 hose and the two connectors.
