Suction Valve, Replace


1. Turn compressor upside down and drain oil through suction valve.
2. Using suitable tool, remove valve attaching bolts.
3. Remove suction valve and discard O-ring.
4. Check seating surface of suction valve and shell for scratches and replace damaged part.
5. If groove of shell O-ring is scratched, replace shell.
6. Apply a coating of refrigerant oil to groove of O-ring and valve and install these parts in their proper position.
7. Torque attaching bolts to 12-13 ft. lbs.
8. Fill compressor with required amount of new refrigerant oil.
