Discharge Valve, Replace
1. Turn compressor upside down and drain oil from suction valve.
2. Using suitable tool, remove two valve attaching bolts.
3. Remove discharge valve and discard O-ring.
4. Check for scratches on mounting surfaces of discharge valve and rear cover and at groove of rear cover O-ring, and replace affected areas as necessary.
5. Apply a coating of clean refrigerant oil to groove of discharge valve and O-ring, then install these parts in proper position.
6. Secure discharge valve to rear cover, torquing bolts to 12-13 ft. lbs.
7. Add clean refrigerant oil to compressor and perform leak test.
