Manual Gear Range Selection

1. With the vehicle stopped, place the manual selector in Drive (D) position. Slowly accelerate vehicle and verify that:
- Transaxle upshifts from 1st to 2nd gear.
- Transaxle upshifts from 2nd to 3rd gear.
2. With the vehicle stopped, place the manual selector in Second (2) position. Slowly accelerate vehicle and verify:
- Transaxle upshifts from 1st to 2nd gear.
3. Accelerate to 40 km/h (25 mph) and verify:
- Transaxle does not upshift from 2nd to 3rd gear.
- Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) does not engage.
4. With the vehicle stopped, place the manual selector in Low (L) position. Slowly accelerate vehicle and verify:
- Transaxle does not upshift from 1st to 2nd gear.
- TCC does not engage.
5. With the vehicle stopped, place the manual selector in Reverse (R) position. Slowly accelerate vehicle and verify:
- Vehicle moves in a rearward direction.
