Bolts

- Tool Required - J 26900-6 Dial Caliper, or equivalent.

1. Install the nut to the connecting rod bolt and check that the nut can easily be turned by hand on the threads.
2. If the nut cannot be turned easily, measure the bolt diameter using a dial caliper. Measure connecting rod bolt diameter at a point approximately 20 mm (0.79 inch) from the bottom edge of the bolt. Standard diameter is 7.2 to 7.3 mm (0.283 to 0.287 inch). If diameter is less than 7.0 mm (0.276 inch), replace the connecting rod bolt. The bolt and nut must be replaced as set.
