Manual Valve Lever and Shaft

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Valve body.
2. Parking lock pawl bracket.
3. Parking lock rod.
4. Retaining spring.
5. Manual valve shaft by:
A. Using a hammer and chisel, pry and turn the collar.
B. Using a hammer and a punch, drive out the pin.
C. Slide out the shaft and remove the manual lever.
6. Oil seal using a screwdriver.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. New oil seal.
2. Lightly coat seal lip with GM # 1050169 grease.
3. Assemble a new collar to the manual valve lever.
4. Manual valve lever shaft to the transaxle case through the manual lever.
5. New roll pin with the slot at right angle to the shaft.
6. Retaining spring making sure that the lever moves smoothly.
7. Parking lock rod.
8. Parking lock pawl bracket.
9. Valve body.
