Description:

Caution should be used to ensure proper location of the center sensor assembly to the vehicle frame. The keying of the sensor to the frame, through the differently sized mounting holes in the sensor mounting plate, must not be modified for any reason.

CAUTION: Be careful when you handle a Center Sensor Assembly. Do not strike or jolt the Center Sensor Assembly. Before applying power to the Center Sensor Assembly:
^ Remove any dirt, grease, etc. from the mounting surface.
^ Position the Center Sensor Assembly horizontally on the mounting surface.
^ Tighten all of the Center Sensor Assembly fasteners to the specified torque value.

Failure to follow the correct procedure could cause air bag deployment, personal injury, or unnecessary SRS repairs.


NOTICE: Do not open the center sensor assembly case for any reason. Touching the connector pins or soldered components may cause Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) damage. Repair of a malfunctioning center sensor assembly is by replacement only.
