Dimmer Switch: Service and Repair

Description:

Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative (-) battery cable.
2. Illumination control knob.
3. One nut from illumination controller.
4. Release four clips around instrument panel left side outlet trim bezel by pulling with flat-bladed screwdriver (notice hole at bottom of trim bezel for screwdriver access).
5. Illumination controller electrical connector.
6. Illumination controller from vehicle.

Install or Connect
1. Illumination controller to vehicle; connect electrical connector.
2. Illumination controller to instrument panel left side outlet trim bezel; secure with one nut.

Tighten
^ Illumination controller nut to 5.4 N.m (48 lb.in.).

3. Instrument panel left side outlet trim bezel to instrument panel.
4. Illumination controller knob to illumination controller.
5. Negative (-) battery cable.
