Remove or Disconnect

Description:

^ Disable the SRS. Refer to Disabling the SRS.
1. Negative (-) battery cable.
2. Console from vehicle.
3. Three bolts and console mounting bracket from floor.
4. Rear seat cushion.
^ Loosen rear floor carpet to gain access to center sensor assembly bolts.
5. Center sensor assembly connector.
6. Three bolts and center sensor assembly from vehicle (Figure 16).

CAUTION: Proper operation of the sensors and Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) requires that any repair to the vehicle structure return it to Its original production configuration. Deployment requires, at a minimum, replacement of the center sensor assembly, driver inflator module and the passenger inflator module. Any visible damage to the center sensor assembly and/or its mounting bracket requires replacement, whether a deployment occurred or not.
