Circuit Operation

There are three data lines that can be accessed by a scan tool. The Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) (if equipped) is accessed though the PPL wire at the Data Link Connector - On Board Diagnostics II (DLC-OBD II) at cavity 9. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or the Engine Control Module (ECM) is accessed through the

BLK wire at the DLC-OBD II at cavity -2. The Center Sensor Assembly and the Cruise Control Module (if equipped) are accessed through the PPL wire at the Data Link Connector (DLC) at cavity 11 (TC).

These communication lines are used to monitor module for diagnostic purposes and to check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
