Neutral (N) Range






MECHANICAL OPERATION
In Neutral (N) range (Neutral), the forward clutch, direct clutch, low-reverse brake and 2nd brake band are released. No members of the planetary gear. sets are held and there is no reaction member. Each gear is free to rotate on its own axis and no torque is transmitted to the planetary gear sets of the output shaft.

HYDRAULIC COMPONENT FUNCTIONS
Clutch/band apply circuit:

Active holding devices:
- None

With this manual selector in N range (neutral), the manual valve prevents line pressure to the shift circuits within the valve body. No torque is transmitted through the planetary gear sets. Line pressure is directed to the following valves and devices:
- Manual valve.
- Primary regulator valve.
- Throttle valve.
- 2nd brake accumulator.
- Secondary regulator valve cooler bypass valve.
