Removal Procedure
Description:
Removal Procedure
1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Release Procedure.
2. Disconnect the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor electrical connector.
3. Disconnect the [1][2]PCV hose from the Air Cleaner (ACL).
4. Disconnect the one bolt and the wing nut from the Air Cleaner (ACL) to the Throttle Body Fuel Injection (TBI) unit.
5. Remove the Air Cleaner (ACL) from the Throttle Body Fuel Injection (TBI) unit.
6. Drain the cooling system.
7. Disconnect the throttle Position (TP) sensor electrical connector.
8. Disconnect the fuel injector electrical connection.
9. Disconnect the Idle Speed Control (ISC) motor electrical connector.
10. Disconnect the one clamp and the fuel feed hose from TBI unit.
11. Disconnect the one clamp and the fuel return hose from the TBI unit.
12. Disconnect the two clamps and the two engine coolant hoses from the TBI unit.
13. Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the TBI unit.
14. Remove the two bolts and the accelerator cable from the throttle valve lever and the cable bracket.
15. Remove the four bolts and the TBI unit (from the EFE heater).
