Installation Procedure

Clean
^ Clean the EFE heater-to-TBI unit mating surfaces.
1. Install the new gasket onto the EFE heater.
2. Install the TBI unit to the EFE heater and secure with four bolts. Tighten the TBI unit bolts to 23 Nm (17 lb. ft.).
3. Connect the accelerator cable to the throttle lever and secure the bracket with two bolts. Do not tighten fully.
4. Connect the vacuum hoses to the TBI unit.
5. Connect the two engine coolant hoses to the TBI unit and secure each hose with a clamp.
6. Connect the fuel return hose to the TBI unit and secure with a clamp.
7. Connect the fuel feed hose to the TBI unit and secure with a clamp.
8. Connect the fuel injector electrical connector.
9. Connect TP sensor and ISC motor electrical connectors.
10. Connect the [1][2]PCV hose to the Air Cleaner (ACL).
11. Connect the IAT sensor electrical connector.
12. Install the Air Cleaner (ACL) to the TBI unit.
13. Secure the Air Cleaner (ACL) with the one bolt and the wing nut. Tighten the ACL bracket bolt to 10 Nm (7.5 lb. ft.).
14. Connect the negative (-) battery cable. Tighten the negative (-) battery cable-to-negative (-) battery terminal retainer to 5.5 Nm (4 lb. ft.).
15. Replenish the coolant system to the proper level.
16. Turn ON the ignition in order to pressurize the fuel system.
17. Turn OFF the ignition.
18. Check for any fuel leaks and repair as necessary.

Adjust
^ Adjust the accelerator cable. Refer to Accelerator Control Cable Adjustment. Adjust the TP sensor. Refer to Throttle Position (TP) Sensor Adjustment.
