Front Suspension
REMOVAL
Remove or disconnect the following:
1. Raise and suitably support vehicle.
2. Tire and wheel assembly.
3. Stabilizer shaft link nut, washer and insulator from control arm.
4. Ball stud nut and bolt; separate ball joint from knuckle.
5. Two control arm front mounting bracket retaining bolts.
6. Two bolts and control arm rear mounting bracket.
7. Control arm and front mounting bracket from vehicle.
INSTALLATION
Install or connect the following:
1. Control arm to vehicle; secure with four bolts-two at the front mounting bracket, two at the rear mounting bracket. Do not fully tighten bolts.
2. Ball joint to knuckle; secure with nut and bolt.
3. Stabilizer link insulator, washer and nut to control arm.
^ Tighten:
- Control arm rear bracket bolts to 43 Nm (32 ft. lbs.).
- Control arm front bracket bolts to 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.).
- Ball joint nut and bolt to 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.).
- Stabilizer link nut to 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
4. Tire and wheel assembly.
5. Lower vehicle.
^ Inspect toe and adjust as required.
