Noisy Generator

Noise from a generator may be caused by a loose drive pulley, loose mounting bolts, worn or dirty bearings, faulty neutral diodes or a defective stator. A high frequency whine (or magnetic noise) that is heard at full Output is acceptable and should not be considered a generator failure. Refer to "Disassembly, Test and Reassembly" under "Unit Repair".
