Negative (-) Battery Cable

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Battery from vehicle.
2. Pull up on engine coolant overflow reservoir and position aside.

Battery, Cables, Carrier And Retainer Bracket:




3. Ground bolt and negative (-) battery cable from body.
4. Ground bolt and cable from transaxle.
5. Cable from harness hold down on battery carrier and remove cable from vehicle.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Position negative (-) battery cable into vehicle.
2. Cable to transaxle; secure with ground bolt.
Tighten
^ Manual transaxle ground bolt to 23 N.m (17 lb. ft.).
^ Automatic transaxle ground bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb. ft.).
3. Cable to body; secure with ground bolt.
Tighten
^ Body ground bolt to 8 N.m (71 lb. in.).
4. Route cable and secure in harness hold down on battery carrier.
5. Reposition engine coolant overflow reservoir.
6. Battery into vehicle.
