Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Negative (-) battery cable.





2. Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor electrical connector.
3. Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve hose from air cleaner (ACL) lower case.
4. Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve hose from ACL lower case.
5. ACL-to-cylinder head bolt.
6. Case nut and ACL with ACL hose from throttle body fuel injection (TBI) unit.
7. ACL hose from ACL pipe.

INSTALLATION





NOTE: Before installing, make sure that ACL case seal is securely installed to ACL lower case.

1. ACL to throttle body.
2. ACL hose to ACL pipe.
3. Secure ACL assembly to TBI unit with case nut.
4. ACL-to-cylinder head bolt. Tighten ACL-to-cylinder head bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
5. PCV valve hose to ACL lower case.
6. IAC valve hose to ACL lower case.
7. IAT sensor electrical connector.
8. Negative (-) battery cable. Refer to Battery Replacement in Battery.
