Throttle Valve Cable And Accelerator Control Cable:
INSPECT
^ Accelerator control cable end play should be within specifications when the accelerator pedal is released while the engine not running.
^ The accelerator control cable end play specification is 10 to 15 mm (0.4 to 0.6 in.) with the vehicle at normal operating temperature.
ADJUST
1. Loosen the accelerator control cable locknut and adjusting nut at the throttle body.
2. Adjust the accelerator control cable end play until it is within specifications.
3. Tighten the accelerator control cable locknut and adjusting nut after the adjustment is complete.
4. Remove the cable protector from around the accelerator control cable at the transaxle.
5. Loosen the accelerator control cable locknut and adjusting nut at the cable retaining bracket on the transaxle.
6. Adjust the accelerator control cable end play until it is within specifications.
7. Tighten the accelerator control cable locknut and adjusting nut after the adjustment is complete.
8. Install the cable protector around the accelerator control cable at the transaxle.
