EGR Control Solenoid: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
2. Disconnect the exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) bypass valve electrical connector.
3. Disconnect the three vacuum hoses from the EGR bypass valve.
4. Remove the two screws and the EGR bypass valve from the bracket.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the EGR bypass valve to the bracket and secure with two screws.
2. Connect the three vacuum hoses to the EGR bypass valve.
3. Connect the EGR solenoid vacuum valve electrical connector.
4. Connect the negative (-) battery cable. Tighten the negative (-) battery cable-to-negative (-) battery terminal retainer to 5.5 Nm (4 lb. ft.).
