Leak Test

TOOL REQUIRED
^ J 24460-01 Cooling System Tester
^ J 33984-A Radiator Test Adapter

1. Remove and clean radiator cap.
2. Install the radiator cap on a Cooling System Tester along with a Radiator Test Adapter.
3. Pump the tester slowly to obtain the minimum holding pressure.
4. If the radiator cap fails to hold 90 kPa (13 psi), replace the cap. Wet new cap with coolant before installing.
5. Install the Cooling System Tester and a Radiator Test Adapter on the radiator. Pump the cooling system to 90 kPa (13 psi). Check for leaks and watch for a pressure drop on the tester gage. Repair as necessary.
