Radiator: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Negative (-) battery cable.
2. Drain engine cooling system.





3. Upper (inlet) hose from radiator by releasing hose clamp.
4. Lower (outlet) hose from radiator by releasing hose clamp.
5. Overflow hose from radiator by releasing hose clamp.





6. Radiator cooling fan: electrical connector.
7. Transaxle cooler hoses from bottom radiator tank (automatic transaxle equipped vehicle).





8. Two upper radiator/fan mounting bolts and remove fan and radiator from vehicle as a unit.
9. Fan from radiator by removing one lower mounting bolt.

INSTALLATION
1. Radiator cooling fan to radiator; secure with one lower mounting bolt. Tighten lower radiator cooling fan mounting bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
2. Radiator and fan to vehicle; secure to core support with two upper radiator/fan mounting bolts. Tighten two upper radiator/fan mounting bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
3. Transaxle cooler hoses to bottom radiator tank (automatic transaxle equipped vehicle). Secure with screws on hose clamps.
4. Radiator cooling fan electrical connector.
5. Overflow hose to radiator; secure with hose clamp.
6. Lower hose to radiator; secure with hose clamp.
7. Upper hose to radiator; secure with hose clamp.
8. Refill engine cooling system.
9. Negative (-) battery cable.
