Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Negative (-) battery cable.
2. Drain engine cooling system.
3. Upper hose from radiator by releasing hose clamp.
4. Radiator cooling fan electrical connector.
5. Raise and suitably support vehicle.
6. One lower mounting bolt from fan shroud.
7. Lower vehicle.
8. Two upper radiator/cooling fan mounting bolts and remove fan from vehicle.
9. Secure radiator by installing and finger-tightening mounting bolts.
INSTALLATION
1. Radiator cooling fan to vehicle. Remove the two upper bolts securing the radiator to the core support and insert them through the two upper fan shroud bolt holes; then install the fan and radiator to core support. Tighten two upper radiator/cooling fan mounting bolts to10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
2. Raise and suitably support vehicle.
3. Lower mounting bolt to fan shroud. Tighten lower radiator cooling fan mounting bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
4. Lower vehicle.
5. Radiator cooling fan electrical connector.
6. Upper hose to radiator; secure with hose clamp.
7. Refill engine cooling system.
8. Negative (-) battery cable.
