R. Valve Body Assembly

INSTALL OR CONNECT





1. Ten check balls into upper valve body.





2. Spacer plate and two new gaskets onto lower valve body; secure with two screws.





3. New lower valve body cover gasket and lower valve body cover onto lower valve body; secure with two bolts.
- Tighten two lower-to-upper valve body bolts to 6 Nm (53 ft. lbs.).








4. Lower valve body with spacer plate and gasket onto upper valve body; secure with nineteen bolts.
- Tighten:
- A: 50 mm (1.97 inches) lower-to-upper valve body bolts to 6 Nm (53 ft. lbs.).
- B: 38 mm (1.50 inches) lower-to-upper valve body bolts to 6 Nm (53 ft. lbs.).
- C: 20 mm (0.78 inch) lower-to-upper valve body bolts to 10 Nm (89 ft. lbs.).





5. Pressure relief valve check ball, spring and retainer onto lower valve body; secure with one bolt.
- Tighten pressure relief valve retaining bolt to 6 Nm (53 ft. lbs.).
6. Two new O-rings onto shift solenoids No.1 and 2.





7. Shift solenoids No.1 and 2 into lower valve body; secure with one bolt.
- Tighten solenoid retaining bolt to 6 Nm (53 ft. lbs.).
8. One new O-ring onto TCC solenoid.
9. TCC solenoid into lower valve body; secure with one bolt.
- Tighten solenoid retaining bolt to 6 Nm (53 ft. lbs.).
10. One bolt, throttle valve cam sleeve, return spring and throttle valve cam onto upper valve body; secure with one bolt.
- Tighten throttle valve cam bolt to 10 Nm (89 ft. lbs.).
