CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
When system voltage is applied to the center sensor assembly, it will perform the primary check followed by the constant check. When a fault is detected, the center sensor assembly will indicate a DTC by illuminating the "AIR BAG" indicator. A scan tool can be used to remotely ground the "AB" terminal of the DLC to the "E1" terminal of the DLC, causing the center sensor assembly to flash DTCs.

CHART TEST DESCRIPTION
Numbers below refer to circled numbers on the diagnostic chart.
1. An improper connection to the DLC will prevent communication from being established.
2. This test confirms proper center sensor assembly operation.
3. This test determines whether the fault is due to an open in the AB CKT or junction block 1.
