REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1. Negative (-) battery cable.
2. Carpet retainer from carpet retaining bracket and pull back carpet from floor under glove box.
3. Two bolts and ECM/PCM with carpet retainer bracket from mounting bracket (Figure 1).
4. Three electrical connectors from ECM/PCM and ECM/PCM from vehicle.
5. One screw and carpet retaining bracket from ECM/PCM (Figure 2).
6. Four screws and ECM/PCM mounting brackets from ECM/PCM (Figure 2).
7. Plastic cover from top of ECM/PCM.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Plastic cover to top of ECM/PCM.
2. Both ECM/PCM brackets to ECM/PCM; secure with four screws.
3. Carpet retaining bracket to ECM/PCM; secure with one screw.
4. Three electrical connectors to ECM/PCM and position ECM/PCM into mounting bracket, making sure that bracket slides into slot (Figure 3).
5. ECM/PCM with carpet retainer to mounting bracket; secure with two bolts.

^ Tighten ECM/PCM mounting bolts to 15 Nm (11 lb. ft.).

6. Carpet to carpet retaining bracket by inserting carpet retainer into bracket.
7. Negative (-) battery cable.

^ Tighten negative (-) battery cable-to-negative (-) battery terminal retainer to 15 Nm (11 lb ft).
