Throttle Cable/Linkage: Service and Repair

Throttle Lever And Accelerator Cable:

Accelerator Pedal:

ACCELERATOR CONTROL CABLE REPLACEMENT

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
^ Loosen adjusting locknuts, and remove accelerator cable from bracket.
1. Accelerator cable from throttle lever.
2. Accelerator cable from accelerator pedal.
3. Two bolts and accelerator cable and bracket at bulkhead.
4. Accelerator cable from vehicle.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Accelerator cable and bracket to bulkhead; secure with two bolts. Tighten accelerator cable-to-bulkhead bolts to 15 Nm (11 lb. ft.).
2. Accelerator cable to throttle lever.
3. Accelerator cable to accelerator pedal.
4. Accelerator cable to accelerator cable bracket; secure with two nuts. Tighten accelerator cable adjusting locknuts to 8 Nm (71 lb. in.).

INSPECT
^ Accelerator cable for looseness. Replace as necessary.
