Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

PROCEDURE
1. Check Fuses C-4, E-3, E-7, and E-8 with a fuse tester.
2. Check that the Daytime Running Lights (DRL) Relay-3 and Lighting Relay are securely mounted in the FUSE AND RELAY BOX.
3. Check that Diode E-4, DRL Relay-1, DRL Relay-2, DRL Cut Relay, and (Fog Lamp) Relay are securely mounted in the FUSE & RELAY BOX.
4. Check that grounds G102, G103 and G201 are clean and tight.
5. If only one lamp is inoperative, check that the lamp socket for corrosion. Also check the power/ground circuits to that lamp for opens.
6. Make certain that the charging system is functioning normally before beginning system diagnosis.
7. Make certain that the parking brake indicator is functioning normally before beginning system diagnosis.
8. Check Headlamp Bulbs.
