This bulletin cancels and supersedes the VIN 6 generator "Unit Repair" procedure on Page 6D3-4 of the 1992 Geo Storm Service Manual (ST371-92) and the "Disassembly, Test and Reassembly - VIN 6" procedure on Page 6D3-5 of the 1993 Geo Storm Service Manual (ST371-93). The generator on a 1992 or 1993 Geo Storm equipped with a VIN 6 engine is now serviceable. Whenever service is required to a 1992 Geo Storm equipped with a VIN 6 engine, use the "Generator - VIN 8" procedure on Page 6D3-6 of the 1992 Geo Storm Service Manual (ST371 -92). Whenever service is required to a 1 993 Geo Storm equipped with a VIN 6 engine, use the "Disassembly, Test and Reassembly - VIN 8" procedure on Page 6D3- 7 of the 1993 Geo Storm Service Manual (ST371 -93).
