Oil Pan: Service and Repair

EXCEPT 16 VALVE ENGINE

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support vehicle.
3. Drain engine oil.
4. Remove righthand undercover.
5. Remove oil pan bolts.
6. Remove oil pan.
7. Reverse procedure to install.

16 VALVE ENGINE

GSI Models

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support vehicle.
3. Drain engine oil.
4. Remove righthand undercover.
5. Disconnect front exhaust pipe and bracket.
6. Remove oil pan bolts.
7. Remove oil pan.
8. Reverse procedure to install.

Except GSI Models

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support vehicle.
3. Drain engine oil.
4. Remove right and left stone covers.
5. Disconnect oxygen sensor connector.
6. Disconnect exhaust pipe from catalytic converter.
7. Disconnect exhaust pipe from exhaust manifold.
8. Remove oil pan bolts and pan.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
