CODE 13 NO RPM SIGNAL

Ignition Coil Circuit:






CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION:

The ignition coil supplies an rpm signal to the transaxle ECU. If this signal is not present for 2 seconds, Code 13 will set.

TEST DESCRIPTION: Numbers below refer to the circled numbers on the diagnostic chart.

1. Voltage is supplied by the ignition coil to the transaxle ECU.

2. Voltage is varying from 6-12 volts with engine running.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS:

An intermittent may be caused by a poor connection, rubbed through wire insulation or a wire broken inside the insulation. Inspect ECU harness connector for backed out terminals, improper mating, broken locks, improperly formed or damaged terminals, poor terminal to wire connection and damaged harness.
